“Everything is falling apart as we speak.”

This chapter isn’t quite scoped right — see ending author’s note. No progress percentage this time.

Would you like a dose of chaos for your first hour in Kivotos? Too bad, whatever your choice is, we’re forcing it down your mouth, Sensei! im sowwy ;_;

Anyway, yeah, the Schale situation continues.

Send any feedback you may have to me, as per usual~

Everyone turns to the white haired woman in the room. Then to the Acting President. And then back. All silent at the revelation…until Yuuka broke the silence. “Hold up a second— who even is she? What do you mean by “Sensei”?! Things are making less and less sense the more you talk, Acting President…”

“She doesn’t seem to be from Kivotos… A teacher does make sense.” Hasumi commented.

“…I should introduce myself… I’m Kiana Kaslana, your Sensei of Schale. I think… Nice to meet you.” The woman at the center of attention spoke out with a smile towards everyone.

“N— Nice to meet you, Sensei. I’m Mill— wait, forget introductions—”

“Please feel free to ignore that annoying girl, Sensei. Moving on for now—” Rin tried to cut off Yuuka—

“Who are you calling annoying?! I’m Hayase Yuuka! Make sure you remember that, Sensei!”

Rin lets out a long sigh in response. “…as I was saying…you’re here to serve as the advisor for a club the General Student Council President formed, the Federal Investigation Club: Schale.”

“‘Federal Investigation Club’?” Sensei asked.

“Yes. This isn’t an average club, however — it’s closer to an extrajudicial organization. You’re allowed to register almost any student in Kivotos and conduct battle in any academy district with almost no restrictions. I…don’t know why she would create an organization with this much power, however.”

Sensei puts her hand to her face, eyes suddenly drifting away as if lost in thought—

—but Rin continues, snapping her out of it. “The Schale club room is about 30 kilometers from here. We had to put something in its basement at the president’s request…and it’s my job to take you there.”

She pulls out her phone and begins dialing. “Momoka. I need a helicopter to take us to the Schale club room… ‘Crazy’— what now?… Momoka—” The phone hangs up.

Her hands begin trembling and gripping her phone white…its screen beginning to glitch and crack. But a calm, warm sensation reaches through from her back.

It was Sensei’s hand.

“Just take a deep breath, Rin.” Sensei whispered before glancing to her hand and suddenly retracting back. “Oh— Sorry, I probably shouldn’t have done that.”

Rin feels her heart begin to slow down. “…no, you don’t have to apologize, Sensei. Thank you.” A faint smile makes its way to both of their faces.

But then Rin snaps her glare to the group of four in front of her.

“…how fortunate of us to have you trustworthy academy representatives here with us, isn’t it? We are going to need your help to bring peace back to Kivotos. Let’s go.” She begins walking rapidly towards Schale, with everyone trailing behind—

“Hey— Where are we going?!”

“Chief Administrator, this isn’t what we’re—”

…so. Um. Minor issue.

…do I split this chapter in two and merge it with Chapter 1, find a way to prolong it, or have the (first parts of) Schale Office Retake™ be in this chapter too?

Either way, that’s like 1/3 of the Prologue done. At last.

We still have a ways to go until V1, let alone anything funny like the Eden Treaty or any of the various side stories I have in mind, but we’ll get there somewhere. I know that for sure this time.

Until next update, have fun! I’ll still be continuing the Prologue, no matter how the chapter split is managed. This’ll be fun for a variety of reasons to do, so stay tuned~
